What will you do?
- Serve as the legal expert for the organization, providing guidance on legal, privacy, and regulatory matters.
- Act as the Data Protection Officer (DPO) for our Norwegian entity, fostering a culture of compliance within ERGO Insurance.
- Oversee all GDPR-related matters, including Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), breach reporting in Norway, risk assessments, Third Party Impact Assessments (TPIAs), and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
- Provide legal support for operations, including drafting and maintaining insurance terms and conditions.
- Facilitate the procurement process by drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts with suppliers and vendors, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards. Collaborate with Legal DK on outsourcing initiatives relevant to Norwegian operations.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and maintain contracts and agreements to protect the organization’s interests while ensuring adherence to Norwegian laws and regulations.
- Identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring that the organization’s activities are legally sound. Offer legal insights to assess business risks and act as a strategic partner within the organization.
- Develop, implement, and maintain internal policies, norms, and procedures to ensure legal compliance and promote best practices across the organization.
- Manage legal disputes and organize the contact to external lawyers if needed.
- Monitor, report on, and implement legal and regulatory changes affecting the Norwegian market, coordinating with the centralized Legal function in DK.
- Engage in project work, contributing to internal initiatives (e.g., Dora) and collaborating on both group and in-house projects.

We also believe you have these qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
- A master's degree in law
- Experience within data protection and an interest in related EU regulations.
- Ability to quickly grasp and respond to new challenges and issues.
- A strong desire to contribute to the development and growth of the legal department.
- Excellent communication skills in both Norwegian and English, both written and spoken.
- Willingness to work across borders, particularly in collaboration with the Danish department.
- A background in the insurance industry is highly advantageous, as is experience in project management.
