Vianode, a leading battery materials company, is on a journey to build industrial leadership in advanced battery materials with a greener footprint. Vianode are dedicated to revolutionizing the energy storage industry by developing cutting-edge battery materials that enable sustainable and efficient energy solutions.

Vianode is expanding its Legal department and are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Legal Counsel. As Senior Legal Counsel you will act as a central business partner to the organization within a variety of complex legal matters, ensuring compliance and foster the development of legal skills within the team.

This position is based in Vianode’s offices at Skøyen, Oslo and will report to Terje Clem, General Counsel at Vianode.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide guidance to management and staff on legal matters

• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations

• Draft, review, and provide input on legal documents, including NDAs, term sheets, and contracts

• Managing comprehensive legal matters in areas such as corporate, M&A, equity and debt financing, tax, IPR, IT, construction, labor as well as dispute resolution

• Engage in relevant meetings with management, clients, advisors, lenders, and other stakeholders
  
  

Desired qualifications:

• Master’s degree in law with good academic results, and a license to practice law

• Additional education within Business Administration or Finance will be considered an advantage

• Minimum 10 years’ work experience from a leading law firm and/or as in-house legal counsel

• Solid experience in an international setting, leading and collaborating with external law firms

• Strong business acumen with a structured and analytical approach

• Adaptable and flexible, capable of handling tasks of varying complexity

• Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills

• Excellent communication skills in English and Norwegian
