Who are we?
Green Transition & Technology (GTT) is a new entrepreneurial venture from Norsk Gjenvinning Group (NG Group), Norway’s leading waste management company. NG Group consists of a portfolio of companies within the circular economy, offering services related to reuse, environmentally friendly waste management, environmental services, and raw material extraction throughout value chains.
GTT was established as a new venture in October 2022. We exist to accelerate the shift towards a fully decarbonized and circular economy, by leveraging next generation technologies to transform waste into clean energy and recycled products. Our value creation is dual; we solve a waste problem, and we produce valuable new end-products. Our approach is collaborative; we engage in strategic partnerships with technology companies and upstream and downstream customers.
What will you do?
As our legal counsel, you will:
Take the lead on all legal aspects of GTT’s journey, as well as support the overall development, culture-building, and professionalizing of the venture
Develop the legal framework for JVs, SPVs and other arrangements with third parties
Support in the planning and execution of contract negotiations, including agreements related to JV structures
Assist with clarifications and interpretations of new ESG requirements
Support with any dispute resolutions
Provide training on legal matters, such as competition law, GDPR, anti-corruption, and contract law
Develop and maintain legal documents and routines in line with Group guidelines
The role will have dual reporting lines into GTT’s CFO and NG Group’s Head of Legal
What qualities are we looking for?
Excellent commercial and strategic mindset, approaching all legal matters in the context of the venture’s business strategy
A Norwegian lawyer’s license and relevant experience within a legal practice or a corporate’s internal legal department
Experience in contract negotiations and contract drafting, and preferably in competition law, company law and/or procurement law
Passion for driving society towards a decarbonized and circular future
Ability to adapt priorities and responsibilities in the context of a fast-moving entrepreneurial culture and hectic workdays
Excellent oral and written communications skills in Norwegian and English
