LEGAL COUNSEL  /  SENIOR LEGAL COUNSEL

Vianode is expanding its Legal department and is seeking a dedicated and business-oriented Legal Counsel / Senior Legal Counsel. As Legal Counsel / Senior Legal Counsel you will act as a central business partner to the organization within a variety of complex legal matters, ensuring compliance and foster the development of legal skills within the team.

You will play a key role in supporting Vianode’s next growth phase, including providing support on financing initiatives, protection of IP, industrial expansion, strategic customer partnerships and the continued development of our business.

This position is based in Vianode’s offices at Skøyen, Oslo and will report to the General Counsel at Vianode.

Key working areas:

·       Provide guidance to management and staff on legal matters

·       Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations

·       Draft, review and provide input on legal documents, including term sheets and material contracts

·       Support and negotiation on strategic agreements with leading international partners

·       Support financing processes, lender discussions and other corporate transactions

·       Managing comprehensive legal matters in areas such as corporate, M&A, equity and debt financing, tax, IPR, IT, construction, labor as well as dispute resolutions

·       Partner with business and technology teams to enable innovation, technology development, IP strategy, R&D collaborations, technology transfer, and commercialization activities

·       Develop and maintain corporate governing documents and compliance matters

·       Engage in relevant meetings with management, customers and suppliers, advisors, lenders, and other stakeholders

Desired qualifications:

·       Master’s degree in law with good academic results, and a license to practice law

·       5-10 years of relevant experience from a leading law firm and/or as in-house legal counsel in international business

·       Broad experience in reviewing and negotiating contracts

·       Experience in an international setting, collaborating with external law firms
