We are now looking to hire a Senior Legal Counsel to strengthen our existing team of six lawyers.

Your responsibilities will include to:

• lead legal workstreams related to international renewable investments, projects and financing, and coordinate related internal decision processes;
• deal with complex, significant matters that cut across legal and related areas;
• contribute to creating value for our business; and
• ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations and company policies.

Key tasks will be to:

• draft and negotiate agreements that minimize risks and maximize legal rights;
• provide expert and strategic legal advice to our management and decision markers;
• manage and coordinate external legal advisors and relations to investment partners; and
• limited international travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years, preferably more, of relevant international M&A/transaction experience, from recognized Norwegian or international law firm and/or relevant corporates.
• Experience from legal work related to renewable investments and projects (e.g. M&A, project development, project finance, regulatory).
• Fluent in English, both oral and written. Additional Norwegian or Portuguese language skills preferrable.
• Uncompromising integrity.
• Value-driven, with entrepreneurial spirit and "can do" attitude.

Additional information

This role will report to the Lead Legal Counsel of Hydro Rein. The location is either in Oslo, Norway or The Hague, Netherlands.
