Hydro’s Group Legal Department (GLD) is a dynamic, international team with offices in Norway, Germany, France, UK, Spain, Hungary, Singapore, Brazil, and USA, managing a global portfolio of legal matters.
GLD Oslo is based at Hydro’s head office and works at the core of Hydro’s business, with large exposure to strategic and operational issues. As some of our colleagues have moved on to exciting opportunities in the company, we are now looking for additional committed and entrepreneurial generalist lawyers to take on dedicated portfolios with a broad range of international commercial challenges and opportunities. Qualifications
Law degree, from a Norwegian university or other university with a focus on Common Law, with excellent grades
Minimum 3-5 years' relevant work experience
Excellent English skills, both written and verbal. Additional Norwegian, German, Portuguese, or other relevant language skills will be considered as an advantage.
Experience and/or interest in the following areas will be considered positively:
M&A and project management
Renewable energy projects
Commercial contracts
Finance
EEA law
Competition law

You have a commercial mindset and a desire to work in multi-disciplinary teams. You have strong integrity and work ethics, and you are structured, efficient, with ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment. Your networking capabilities and communication skills, both verbal and written, are excellent.
