We are seeking an experienced and dynamic legal professional to step into the role of Head of Legal for our Nordic operations within electrical charging services. Operating in the dynamic markets of Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland, this position plays a crucial role in ensuring our legal and compliance strategies align seamlessly with the regulatory frameworks and industry standards inherent to the electrical charging sector. You will lead our legal initiatives, providing legal guidance on matters specific to electrical charging operations and fostering a culture of legal excellence within our organization. Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice and support to senior management on a wide range of legal issues.
  • Develop and implement legal strategies supporting the organization’s business objectives.
  • Establish and maintain a compliance program, ensuring adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
  • Monitor changes in laws and regulations that may impact the organization and recommend necessary adjustments to policies and procedures.
  • Review, draft and negotiate a variety of contracts, ensuring they align with the organization’s interests and comply with applicable laws.
  • Develop and maintain contract management processes to streamline operations.
  • Identify and assess legal and regulatory risks, providing proactive solutions to mitigate potential issues.
  • Develop and implement company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal requirements and industry best practices.
  • Educate and train employees on legal and compliance matters.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with external legal counsel, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders.
  • Represent the organization in legal and regulatory matters.
  • Procure and manage external expertise from Nordic legal service providers when necessary.

Qualifications and skills

  • Master of Laws degree. The degree should preferably be obtained from a jurisdiction within Norway, Sweden, Finland or Denmark.
  • Minimum 5 years’ of relevant experience from a law firm or from working in an in-house legal role (if you have experience from negotiating and drafting commercial contracts it would be an advantage).
  • Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations and industry best practices.
  • Self-motivated with a high sense of professional ethics and integrity.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English, both oral and written. Proficiency in Swedish or Norwegian is advantageous.
  • Ability to work collaborate in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
