Our new member of Swedbank`s Legal Team has a service minded and positive personality with an interest in banking and finance. You are a dedicated professional that can function both independently and in teams. You are well-organized, flexible and have the ability to prioritize and are able to work independently and operational with different tasks on several projects and with complex transactions. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, both in English and a Scandinavian language.
You have a solid legal academic background and at least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience gained from a reputable law firm and/or as an in-house council with operational work in the areas of financial services, credits, syndications and loans. You are familiar with LMA based documentation and an international environment. Any experience from shipping & offshore, (international) restructurings and negotiations will be an advantage. Any knowledge toward regulatory matters, derivatives and debt capital transactions will also be valued.
Who we are?
The Legal Team in Swedbank Norge is a part of Swedbank`s LC&I Legal Team. We are comprising of some twenty lawyers located in Sweden, one in Finland and four in Norway. Our work includes a number of distinct legal disciplines within banking and finance law, including capital market transactions, loan finance, derivatives and clearing, as well as providing general expertise and solutions for LC&I and its business needs. We work collaboratively with the business areas in teams and are considered as a natural part of Swedbank’s process towards the customers. In addition, Legal in Swedbank Norge assist the Branch in all legal matters on a day-to-day basis.
You will report to the Head of Legal in Oslo and participate in LC&I`s Legal Team.

We offer the possibility to be a member of a positive team of four lawyers specialized in a variety of disciplines within the field of banking and finance law. The position vacant will mainly provide advice in credits, but also fill a role in legal issues on a day-to-day basis. You will have the possibility to provide legal advice in a number of complex transactions and collaborate with the business, external lawyers and other financial institutions.
We offer the opportunity to provide legal support in an international environment on a variety of legal matters with a primary focus on loans and credits, syndication and documentation to Large Corporates in the sectors of Shipping Offshore & Energy, Real Estate, Retail & Service and Structured Finance. You will monitor Swedbank`s legal risks and provide the business with general legal advice and information.
