Investment Banking Norway is the largest business unit in ABGSC. To further strengthen our team, we are now looking for a legal counsel that will report to Head of Group Legal as well as to Head of Investment Banking Norway.
As part of this role, you will have the following main responsibilities:
Review of engagement letters and transaction agreements
Analysis, quality assurance and legal advice related to our operations and engagements within equity capital markets, debt capital markets, and mergers and acquisitions
Support project teams with contentious matters that may arise with clients and identifying situations of risk during negotiations and execution
Proactively identify and recommend measures to deal with relevant legal and regulatory risks
Analysis and advice as to ongoing regulatory changes affecting our business
Management of our relationships with external legal counsels
Competence and experience:
A degree in Norwegian law with strong academic record
Extensive knowledge of legal agreements and regulatory framework relevant for investment banking
Experience in commercial legal work from top tier law firms or corporates
Solid business knowledge and understanding
High proficiency in written and spoken Norwegian and English
Personal skills:
Strong motivation to contribute to further strengthening the leading investment banking team in Norway
Service-mindedness and solution orientation, with a team focus and strong can-do attitude
Ability to work well in a high-pressure, project organisation work environment
A proactive attitude, identifying areas of need, generating action plans, and taking responsibility for delivering on prioritized tasks
High personal integrity and ethical standards
